Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, also known as the Church of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, is a Baroque-style church located in the heart of Rome, Italy. The church was designed by Jesuit architect Orazio Grassi and completed in the early 18th century. Its facade features two bell towers flanking a central pediment with the Jesuit emblem in the middle. The interior of the church is ornate, with frescoes and trompe l'oeil ceilings painted by Jesuit artist Andrea Pozzo. One of the highlights of the church is the illusionistic nave ceiling, which appears to be a dome but is actually flat. The church is dedicated to Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, and is considered one of the most important churches of the Jesuit order.
